“Build Something Better”, indeed

Posted on March 26th, 2019

Boeing’s 2018 revenue was a record $101.1 billion, with net profits up 24% YOY, which makes several months ago a fantastic time to be a shareholder.

Of course, you don’t boost profits like that by just giving away safety features. Oh, the angle of attack sensors were there, ready to save lives, but the AOA indicator and AOA DISAGREE alert were software-locked like a Tesla battery. The latter’s being switched on in April as a PR move that’s too little, too fucking late for 346 people. One of them was Ralph Nader’s great-niece and if you thought John Wick went batshit over his puppy, it won’t hold a candle to Nader’s wrath as he rides down Boeing execs in his flaming bone chariot.

And really, wouldn't you rather sue Adbusters?
